Responsibilities/Duties:
- Metal Stud Framers use hand tools, power tools and various other equipment to complete their work.
- In addition to their primary responsibility, more Metal Stud Framer job duties typically include: Reading and understanding blueprints.
- Preparing, configuring, and assembling the required tools, including ladders, measuring tapes, hammer drill machines and straightedges.
- Marking and cutting the metal studs based on the blueprints.
- Drawing chalk lines on metal frames to level them up.
- Complying with relevant regulatory practices related construction projects and safety requirements.
- Assembling metal stud framing.
- Carrying construction materials and metal stud frames from one place to another within the construction site and assisting forklift operators with the transportation process.
- Installing metal stud framing.
- Attaching metal frames with preconfigured horizontal and vertical wallboards.
- Preparing small openings into the metal frames with drilling tools to make space for electric lines and outlets.
- Using different fastening tools, such as screws, nails, studs, and connectors.
- Installing decorative trim for windows, doors, walkways, and other places.
- Reporting everyday progress to the construction supervisors or asset owner.
- Inspecting the quality of the procured metal stud frames if needed.
